Thursdays – Long Exposure

Long Exposures

1. A light experiment tonight (Newcastle & Gateshead, cities bridged with lights, made using zooming out during long exposure)

2. Comet in the city tonight (not good visibility tonight, so headed to Quayside, accidentally caught the comet still)

3. Angel in flight (made using zooming out during long exposure)

4. Heading South in moonlight

Newcastle – Hodgkin Park

Hodgkin Park (also known as Benwell Dene) is located in Benwell, West End of Newcastle upon Tyne, just off Benwell Lane.

This park was donated to the people of Newcastle in 1899 by Thomas Hodgkin, a prominent banker of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. The park has a dene, children’s play area, various walking routes and split in two parts by Armstrong road.

Newcastle – Denton Burn and Denton Dene

Denton Burn North / South and Denton Dene is about 1.5 mile long walk. Denton Burn North and South are relatively on flat ground and are next to sports grounds behind silver lonnen. In the middle of two parts, just after crossing west road you can see parts of historic Hadrian’s wall.

Denton Dene however is a hidden nature reserve in middle of the city. This gallery features about half the walk. The dene also has Hadrian’s Way crossing through it.
